Privacy policy

Moneybinder is designed to be private by default. We do not require an account, and the financial details you enter are never sent to or stored on our servers.

Who is responsible for your data

Moneybinder is operated by Rizwan Khalid, who is the data controller for this website. For any privacy question, or to exercise your data-protection rights, email hello@moneybinder.co.uk.

The numbers you enter

Your salary, mortgage and loan figures are processed entirely in your browser to produce results. To make the tools convenient, some inputs are saved locally on your own device: the salary calculator keeps its settings in the page address (so you can bookmark or share a result), and the mortgage and loan calculators remember your last inputs in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device — we never receive it. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not build a profile of you. Your light/dark theme preference is stored locally on your device only.

Analytics

If we introduce analytics in future, we will use a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that does not collect personal data, and we will update this policy first. We will never sell your data.

Hosting and server logs

The website is served as static files by our hosting provider, Hostinger, which acts as a data processor on our behalf under its data processing agreement. As with any web server, Hostinger may process standard technical request logs — such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to keep the site secure and running. We rely on our legitimate interest in the security and operation of the site as the lawful basis for this limited processing, and we do not use these logs to identify or track you.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data through the calculators, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Under UK GDPR you still have rights over any personal data we hold — including access, correction and erasure — so please contact us and we will help. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version always lives on this page.
